Baltimore Ave needed more cafes and when it got Gold Standard, it really had a chance to improve. Now, the café is a popular spot for breakfast, lunch, and dinner and also serves food in “Box Lunches,” which are catering packages that include everything from marinated chicken to hoagies.
The café is made up of two rooms. The first serves breakfast and lunch. It’s counter service and most of the food is eaten on tables outside by the sidewalk. The idea is quick service here, but the food is still great. The other room is a 40-seat dining room where dinner is served. The menu changes on a weekly basis and, in the past, has offered pesto salmon and a devilish meatloaf wrapped in bacon.
Stop by for a bite if you’re in the neighborhood and want a nice, casual meal that tastes great and isn’t overpriced.

You do not need a car to get here. Just take the Baltimore Ave trolley to its stop on 48th street and you're there.
