The Ochre Rock used to be a quarry, but now it is a site that can be roamed by tourists of all ages. A mixture of mostly sand, with a small amount of clay, is what makes up the surroundings here, which can be walked through in one of two paths, one short and one long.
This is a sightseeing exhibit for the whole family. Kids like to run around through the enclosed area, and parents don’t have to worry about them getting lost.
The plant life here is very diverse and makes it a nice place to sit around and relax. There are all different kinds of oak and pine trees mixed with other plants, like Rosemary.
The Ochre Rock is visited by lots of people every year, so expect a crowd when you get there. However, this really doesn’t deter from the beauty of the place all too much.
